My research focuses in the analysis of the factors promoting or constraining the dispersal and establishment of invasive species. Using the prickly pear moth Cactoblastis cactorum as a model system, I study the intra and interpopulation neutral genetic distribution to assess possible routes of expansion of this invasive species. In addition, using genomic tools I am searching for candidate genes that would allow this species to colonize and establish in new areas.
